Specialist car valuations are not like a mainstream volume produced car. Rarity, provenance, originality and market timing all move the number often by a significant margin and getting them right is the difference between a valuation that under estimating your car and one that captures its full worth.

Niche marques and low-production models carry a level of desirability that generic pricing tools simply can't quantify. A car's ownership history, matching numbers, factory options and originality all add real value, and each detail needs to be weighed individually against genuine comparable sales, not an averaged database figure.

Motorsport variants and competition history sit at the top of this. Homologation specials, works-entered cars and vehicles with a genuine racing pedigree verified chassis numbers, period results, FIA papers an be worth multiples of a standard road car, but only when that provenance is properly evidenced and understood.
